New Race Date Announced.
Looks like May the 19th will be the first race of the Footy 2013 season. The opening race will be held as usual at the ever popular BHMYC on the Sunday morning. This year the Club will be organising a massive opening party on the 18th at the club house. Free Champagne and food will be supplied in order to celebrate the 4th Official year of Footy racing!
New Footies afoot??
A most interesting debate has started in the Footy Exec offices. Rumours have abounded of several new Footy classes and formats under development? a bigger footy, is this possible. Multi channel footies? surely not! Carbon Fibre composites? well blow me over in a a Footy Hurricane.
Yes Footy Fans its true!! 2 new and exciting classes are heading your way soon. The Footy 850TX - performance limited development design and the Footy I0M - a behemoth of a Footy set to rock the Footy scene.
Watch this space for updates soon.

It's on! Footy370t 2013
So the preparation for the 2013 round of racing has started with the Darbryl team retiring Laird and Darbryl 2 so that they can concentrate on a single boat.
You may remember that Darbryl suffered catastrophic failure of their rudder servo during the final races. To combat this the team have re-engineered the critical system and replaced the gearing with metal rather than plastic. Although this will increase weight the increase in durability should more than make up for the trade-off.
We look forward to the first racing - perhaps in May?

Catastrophic failure ends Darbryls hopes
The Darbryl teams hopes of securing the Footy370t world championships ended today after a failure in their steering servo.
The loss of one tooth in the main gear (pictured) caused loss of steerage, ending their race prematurely.
Team manager T was disappointed but was confident they would be back stronger next year. "We have sourced steel geared servos for next year which will prevent this happening in the future" he said.
