Team Egg Nog have just announced that tonight a finished Triton rolled out of the boatyard. Sea trials are scheduled to start in 10 days time at their secret Bushy Park testing facility...
During the roll out we managed to smuggle out this secret shot of the bow. A reverse profile wave cutting design, a first in Footy Design! This appears to be just one of the many firsts that Team Egg Nog have managed to squeeze into their ground breaking design. We look forward to the first testing results here in the Executive Office..
Wow - that looks amazing. Loving the pinstripe. Tell me, is this the most amazing Footy370t season ever?
ReplyDeleteI agree Eric - it certainly looks like its going to be a thrilling season. Im astounded at how rapidly technology has progressed in this series in such a short time.
ReplyDeleteTriton looks a bit like a Hurricane from this angle - surely Team Egg Nog haven't managed to pull a Cat out the bag?
What I want know is whats happening with Team Measures? Are they going to turn up this season?
ReplyDelete@Vasco de Gamas tomtom. I think it looks like the more radical profile if the A Class rather than the hurricane but yes I would agree it looks like Egg Nog have managed the impossible Footy Cat format. I woonder though how they would manage the mast joint problem, perhaps they have gone with the traditional sloop 2 sail design? Also what of balance and stability and sail compatibility oh and how on earth would the cross beams handle the immense forces that a cat would have to handle. Based on this alone I feel a Cat would be a tall order!!
