Manhood Crab Details Posted

Interesting interpretation of the Footy370t rules by Team Measures, who seem to be entering a boat over the 370mm maximum length.  When questioned about this, Little T responded "Our hull is 445mm, less 51mm rudder overhang allowance less bowsprit allowance - we are therefore well confident of being within the 370mm overall permitted length".

Lets see what the community has to say about that - and in the meantime the Exec Committee will sit down and ponder what this could mean.

But surely this cannot be! have they not read rules B1 and E1. A hull is a hull and a rudder is a rudder! 370mm and nowt more... If the Manhood Crab desires a longer length perhaps the team could consider entering the new Footy 740t class? im sure they would welcome them with open arms.

They could always cut 75mm off the hull and reform the stern or bow? - thus fulfilling the rule

Yes, yes - I heard this is quite acceptable - just make sure it is well sealed up with epoxy. Mind, that will probably add some significant weight.......

  5. Is there any news yet on what this hull cost? Let's not forget that the other prime 370t condition is the unique and groundbreaking "under £10" rule.

  6. i think you will find thats now a sub £11 rule, in line with inflation.

  7. I disagree - there is no inflation. The government keeps telling us so.
